Our student council is made up of 30 students from year 8.

These students have been elected through an anonymous process where students have submitted a student council application form. The student council meet regularly with Mrs Oakes-Ash, Mrs Parker and members of the Senior Leadership Team​. In addition, they meet for a 'drop in' on a Tuesday Week A with Mrs Parker.  They play a vital role in sorting all of the student suggestions from the suggestion folders, debate and discuss everyone’s ideas and thoughts​ and summarise everyone’s suggestions before sending them to key staff​. The student council use their voice to influence positive change within our school community​.

In addition to this, the student council are regularly asked by SLT for their thoughts and opinions on new initiatives being brought into school, plus influencing important student-based decisions such as the topics for the assembly rota.
