The Sixth Form team leads the Exmouth Scholars programme for high achieving students from Year 10 upwards. Scholars have the opportunity to attend a series of lectures throughout the year, take part in essay competitions and enjoy the company of like-minded peers. The group also makes an annual visit to Exeter College, Oxford, the link college for schools in the South West. This is a formative experience for our students, giving them the chance to experience taster tutorials, a critical thinking session, a tour of the college and lunch in the refectory.

Year 12 Scholars have been successful in essay competitions. In the summer of 2026, we had a shortlisted entry in the Sidgwick Prize, offered by Cambridge University and a first prize winner (the only state school student among the finalists) in the Mary Renault Classical Reception Prize, offered by St Hugh's College, Oxford.
